Friday Devo: “Still Standing”
All week, you have been reading about how to build a faith that can stand when life gets hard. The truth is that pressure will come. Life does not always go the way we planned. Faith is not pretending everything is okay when it is not. Real faith is knowing that even when life shifts, Jesus does not (Hebrews 13:8).
Jesus is the only foundation that stays steady when everything else moves. When you know who He is and remember what He has done for you on the cross, it gives you a security that pressure cannot take away. Your identity is not in your performance, popularity, or achievements. Your identity is in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).
When that truth takes root in your life, your faith becomes more than just words. It shows up in how you live, how you treat people, and how you trust God when life feels uncertain. The goal of this week wasn’t just to have a great camp experience. It was that when you leave here, your faith would still stand, and keep standing, even when you face obstacles or reality doesn’t turn out the way you hoped.
Application: When pressure comes after camp, what will help you keep building your life on Jesus rather than on shaky foundations?
